Coley Laffoon

When I’m dropping off to sleep, I occasionally find this song going through my head:

Coley Laffoon
Checked into his room
Only to find Gideon’s Bible
Coley had come
Equipped with a gun
To shoot off the legs of his rival
His rival it seems
Had broken his dreams
By stealing the love of his lady
Her name was Anne Heche
And she called herself Celestia [ed. note: Check for rhyme, scansion]
But everyone knew her as crazy

[Her autobiography is called Call Me Crazy.]

  2. That would scan, but I was under the impression she said her name as Haysh. Am I wrong?

  3. That’s my understanding too — you might be amused at this explanation of the pronunciation.
