Jack of All Trades

I was poking around TV Tropes and I noticed the claim that “The Bruce Campbell vehicle Jack Of All Trades had possibly the best intro sequence ever.” And indeed:

I had never heard of this show before. Could it possibly live up to the intro?

  1. Frankly, it had me at “Bruce Campbell vehicle.”

  2. I actually saw this show a few times when it was on over-the-air, because it was on at some oddball hour that coincided with my occasional visits to the world of teevee. It is _massively_ cheesy in a lovable Bruce Campbellian way. In other words, it may not be quite as good as the intro, but it’s definitely what you should expect from the intro. Like sugary drinks or cotton candy – fluff, quickly entertaining in small doses, if you watched 10 episodes in a row you’d probably run screaming for an action-packed screening of L’Avventura.

I have to say that “Bruce Campbell vehicle” sounds like the car in a Bruce Campbell remake of “Knightrider,” which isn’t totally implasuible.

  4. I was pretty lukewarm on this, but this was pretty awesome. I was hoping that it would be a little less of a sitcom and more of a swashbuckling adventure with funny.

I believe that they are remaking Knight Rider, but have been unable to confirm Bruce Campbell’s involvement.
