Video Comparison

Announcing an occasional feature, meaning I’ll probably do at least one other one: The Video Comparison. Providing insight into two disparate videos by illuminating their parallels and differences. Or giving me the excuse to post videos I like, anyway.

So has anyone else noticed that the following two videos are exactly the same?

…allowing for the differences in the artists’ sensibilities, I suppose.

They even both have a strikingly red visual focus (Kate Bush’s lipstick and Larry Blackmon’s, um, whatever that is).

The common theme, of course, is “Party People Will Aid Your Escape.” And, though the YouTube description says “Another great song, and clip with Kate being all dramatic,” this is easily the least wacked-out Kate Bush video I’ve seen. The most wacked-out video will be saved for a later post.
